In einer ruhigen Stadt östlich der Hauptstadt, lädt der Besitzer des lokalen Fernsehsenders sechzehn Jahre nach diesem historischen Tag, zwei Gäste ein, um ihre Momente revolutionären Ruhms mit den Zuschauerinnen  zu teilen.  Gemeinsam erinnern sie sich an den Tag, als sie ihr Rathaus stürmten und „Nieder mit Ceausescu“ riefen. Doch telefonisch zugeschaltete Zuschauer bestreiten die Behauptungen der Helden, die wahrscheinlich lieber in der Bar gesoffen haben. 

The whole world watched live on tv as angry crowds forced Romanian dictator Ceausescu to flee Bucharest by helicopter. In a quiet town east of the capital sixteen years since the historic day the owner of the local tv station invites two guests to share their moments of revolutionary glory. together they remember the day when they stormed their town hall and called „down with Ceausescu“ but phone in viewers dispute the claims of the heroes who may have rather been boozing in the bar. 

Întreaga lume a urmărit în direct la televizor cum mulțimile furioase l-au forțat pe dictatorul român Ceaușescu să fugă din București cu elicopterul. Într-un oraș liniștit la est de Capitală, la șaisprezece ani de la ziua istorică, proprietarul postului local de televiziune invită doi oaspeți să-și împărtășească momentele de glorie revoluționară.Își amintesc de ziua în care au luat cu asalt primăria lor și l-au sunat „jos cu Ceaușescu”, dar telespectatorii contestă pretențiile eroilor, care ar fi mai degrabă băut în bar.
