Am 26. Januar laden wir zu einem einmaligen, immersiven Abend ein – einer besonderen Begegnung von Film, Kunst, Musik und Entdeckergeist.
Produziert von Midnight Odyssey Productions, feiert der Spielfilm Flights of Reverie an diesem Abend seine Europapremiere. Gleichzeitig geben wir erstmals einen kleinen Einblick in das nächste Spielfilmprojekt der Produktionsfirma: The Assembly, derzeit in Entwicklung. Doch es geht um weit mehr als eine klassische Filmvorführung: Der Abend ist als lebendige, interaktive Erlebniswelt konzipiert, die sich über die ikonischen Räume des Babylon entfaltet.
Ab 18:00 Uhr treffen die Gäste über den Roten Teppich ein und werden bei einem Eröffnungsempfang mit Live-Musik begrüßt. Alle Gäste erhalten eine kuratierte Entdeckerkarte, die durch das Babylon führt, inspiriert von der investigativen Erzählstruktur des Films. Entlang dieses Pfades geht es durch thematische Stationen, die gemeinsam mit Berliner Kultur- und Umweltpartnern gestaltet wurden, bis hin zu einem ersten exklusiven Ausblick auf The Assembly, den kommenden Spielfilm.
Um 20:30 Uhr wechselt das Programm in den Großen Saal: Dort findet ein live moderiertes Bühnengespräch mit anschließendem Q&A statt. Filmschaffende und geladene Gäste sprechen über zentrale Themen des Films – Ökologie, Ethik und das Verhältnis des Menschen zur Natur.
Um 21:00 Uhr beginnt schließlich die Europapremiere von Flights of Reverie. Den Abschluss bildet eine After-Party im Oval mit Live-Musik. In entspannter Atmosphäre kommen Filmschaffende, Kulturinstitutionen, Umweltinitiativen und Technolog:innen zusammen – ein gemeinsamer Raum, um den Film nachklingen zu lassen, sich fachübergreifend zu vernetzen und den Blick nach vorne zu richten.
Über den Film
Flights of Reverie ist ein eigenwilliges, philosophisches Eco-Mystery-Drama, in Berlin verwurzelt und an über 40 Schauplätzen gedreht. Als ein britischer Ornithologe mysteriöse Todesfälle in der Tierwelt untersucht, stößt er auf eine geheime Organisation namens „White Brigade“ sowie auf eine Umweltbewegung namens „The Revered“. Was folgt, ist eine visuell kraftvolle und emotional dichte Geschichte über illegalen Tierhandel, genetische Experimente und die fragile Verbindung zwischen Mensch und Natur.

Produced by Midnight Odyssey Productions, this special evening marks the European premiere of the feature film Flights of Reverie and offers audiences a first glimpse into the company’s next feature, The Assembly, currently in development. More than a screening, the night is conceived as a living, interactive world that unfolds throughout Babylon’s iconic spaces.
From 18:00, guests arrive via an atmospheric red carpet and gather for an opening reception with live music. Each guest receives a guided discovery map, leading them through the Babylon inspired by the film’s investigative narrative, onward through curated theme stations created with Berlin-based cultural and environmental partners, and finally into the world of The Assembly, the next feature film in development.
At 20:30, the program transitions to the Great Hall for a live, moderated on-stage conversation and Q&A with filmmakers and invited speakers, touching on the film’s themes of ecology, ethics, and humanity’s relationship with nature.
At 21:00, the European premiere screening of Flights of Reverie begins. The night concludes with an after-party in the Oval, featuring live music, bringing together a diverse audience of filmmakers, cultural institutions, environmental partners and technologists, creating a shared space to reflect on the film, connect across disciplines, and look ahead to what comes next.
About the Film Flights of Reverie is a quirky, philosophical eco-mystery / drama rooted in Berlin, spanning over 40 locations.
