Set in the historic atmosphere of Babylon, Fly Like an Eagle invites audiences to explore the rich history and ongoing evolution of Albanian cinema.

Over the course of a week, the festival offers a rare opportunity to experience how film in Albania has developed across decades — reflecting cultural memory, artistic expression, and social change.

The program revisits the renowned productions of Kinostudio "Shqipëria e Re" from the 1970s to 1992, carefully restored and reworked by State Filmography Archives of Albania), and places them alongside a thoughtful selection of contemporary films, including shorts, feature films, and documentaries. Together, these works highlight both the foundations and the new directions of Albanian cinematography.

This festival is supported by the Embassy Of the Republic of Albania in Berlin, the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport of Albania, and the Albanian National Center of Cinematography & the State Filmography Archives of Albania.
