In den 1970er Jahren führen Alberta (Luisa Ranieri) und Gabriella (Jasmine Trinca) in Rom eine Schneiderei mit Rang und Namen. Eines Tages flattert ein neuer Großauftrag rein. Unter der Führung der beiden Schwestern soll die Schneiderei Kostüme für einen im 18. Jahrhundert spielenden Film zusammenklöppeln. Zeit gib es nicht gerade im Überfluss und die Anforderungen sind auch nicht gerade simpel. Doch der Führungsstil von Alberta und Gabriella in dieser Drucksituation sorgt mitunter für Unmut in der Belegschaft, die neben der fordernden Arbeit noch ihre ganz eigenen Sorgen und Nöte schultern müssen.

In the 1970s, Alberta (Luisa Ranieri) and Gabriella (Jasmine Trinca) run a renowned tailor shop in Rome. One day, a major new order comes in. Under the leadership of the two sisters, the tailor shop is tasked with putting together costumes for a film set in the 18th century. Time is not exactly in abundance, and the requirements are far from simple. Yet Alberta and Gabriella’s leadership style in this high-pressure situation sometimes causes discontent among the staff, who, in addition to the demanding work, must also shoulder their own personal worries and hardships.
