COL 2018, R: Wilson Arango Giraldo, 27 Min, OmeU
EN Between 1990 and 2000, the Route 60, which connects Medellin with Bogotá turned into a horror scene. Armed groups disputed the zone. Although many things have changed, fear is still around and atrocious facts remain secret.

Nuestro canto a la guerra [Our Song to War]
COL 2018, R: Juanita Onzaga, 14 Min, OmeU
EN: Crocodile-men, a mystic river, some kids that like fishing and a war that ends share the same Colombian land: Bojayá. In this place, villagers have strange beliefs and celebrate the 'Novenario' death ritual. This might be the beginning of a long story, where spirits and humans meet to learn what is there to life after the end of war. Elena finds a wounded paramilitary soldier and decides to help him. While recuperating at her house, he confesses that his unit recently killed her son. Despite the shock, she still helps him to escape before the guerrillas find him.

EN: The approach to Chocó and the cultural manifestations that summon its most representative values cannot be summed up in a flat experience. The succession of actions and representations that black people gather in itself is a rhizomatic structure. Through the death stories of their children, two mothers tell us about 'good death' and 'bad death'; death by disease with time to leave in peace, violent death full of uncertainty and pain.

Anzoátegui
COL 2018, R: Bibiana Rojas Gómez, 16 Min, OmeU
EN: Inspired by the director’s questions about the story of the hometown of her mother and grandmother, which they left forty years ago. The town’s name appeared in conversations, but she never heard the reason of their departure, so it became a mystery. Her questions led her to find episodes of the family story, both happy and dark, and met people who lived with them in town, enriching with their experience this story.

La Libertad [La Libertad]
COL/F/MEX/USA 2017, R: Laura Huertas Millán, 29 Min
EN: Matriarchies have assembled around the backstrap loom, a weaving Pre-Hispanic technique preserved for centuries by indigenous women in Mesoamerica. 'La Libertad' unfolds like a weaving of figures and gestures constituting this labour, circulating between a domestic space, an archeology museum and a cooperative.
