La mujer salvaje ist die Chronik der wütenden Konfrontation einer Frau mit sich selbst, mit ihrer Verwandtschaft und mit einem bigotten christlichen Milieu. Ihre innere Unruhe wird durch die Kameraarbeit noch pointiert. Der Film heftet sich an die partikulare Perspektive der Hauptfigur, folgt ihrer nervösen Bewegung durch ihr Viertel und zieht die Zuschauer*innen in ihre subjektive Sicht hinein. Der Film gewann in Havanna 2023 den Spezialpreis der Jury für den besten Erstlingsfilm sowie den Publikumspreis und wurde auf den Festivals in Gibara/Cuba und Ceará/Brasilien als bester Film prämiert. Die Hauptdarstellerin Lola Amores wurde als beste Darstellerin in Ceará und in Malaga/Spanien ausgezeichnet.

In a poorer neighbourhood of Havana, the protagonist finds herself caught up in a bloody confrontation between her husband and her lover. A video of the incident is already going viral. In a desperate attempt to save her son from the scandal (he is living with relatives), she tries to run away with him. But it is doubtful whether she - considered as an outcast and a pariah - can care for him, and whether the boy even wants to return to her. La mujer salvaje chronicles a womans furious confrontation with herself, her family and a bigoted Christian milieu. Her inner turmoil is further emphasised by the work of the camera. The film adopts the protagonists particular perspective, follows her nervous movements through her neighbourhood and draws the audience into her subjective viewpoint. The film won the Special Jury Prize for Best Debut Film and the Audience Award in Havana in 2023, and was named Best Film at the festivals in Gibara, Cuba, and Ceará, Brazil. The lead actress, Lola Amores, was awarded Best Actress in Ceará and in Málaga, Spain.

La mujer salvaje del realizador Alán González, es la crónica visceral del enfrentamiento de una madre consigo misma. Estrenada en el Festival Internacional de Cine de Toronto, y merecedora de los premios a Mejor película, Mejor sonido y Mejor actuación principal en el Festival de Cine Ceará/Brasil, la película se exhibió por primera vez en Cuba en diciembre del 2023 en el Festival del Nuevo Cine Latinoamericano de La Habana. Por supuesto, no resulta casual que también aquí haya sido reconocida esta vez con el Premio Especial del Jurado en la categoría de Ópera prima. En el festival de Malaga, la protagonista Lola Amores recibió el premio de mejor actuación.
