Laboratorio de co-creación: Los archivos del miedo

Este laboratorio propone una experiencia de creación cinematográfica abierta a la contaminación y el azar. Un espacio donde el miedo se transmuta en un gesto creativo hacia lo desconocido.
Lxs participantes generan colectivamente un ser audiovisual, nacido de la alteración de materiales que apelan al terror del mundo contemporáneo, para explorar el encuentro con lo profano, el conjuro y los mundos supraterrenales.
Ana Tiagx Vélez:
Cineasta, docente y travesti. Magíster en Cine Documental. Sus prácticas artísticas se concentran en las intersecciones entre el cine experimental, el performance y el trabajo con archivos. Es cofundadora de la productora Crisálida Cine donde trabaja desde entonces.
Entre sus trabajos como directora se destaca el largometraje EL ORIGEN DE LAS ESPECIES y los cortometrajes PRESAGIO (Ficunam, Ficci), NOSOTR_S SEREMOS (Premio Dunkel Rosa, 2021), EL TERCER MUNDO DESPUÉS DEL SOL (IFFR, 2024; Gran Premio del Jurado Curta Cinema, Guanajuato) y como montajista las películas ENTRE LAS SOMBRAS ARDEN MUNDOS de Ismael García (Zinebi, Clermont-Ferrand) y VIENEN LAS GRIETAS de Mateo Vallejo (IFFR, 2023). También es coproductora de distintas películas, entre ellas TÚ ME HICISTE VER EL CIELO de Luis Esguerra (FID Marseille, FIC Valdivia 2023).
Es docente del Pregrado de Comunicación Audiovisual de la Universidad de Antioquia y es integrante del colectivo Archivo Shub, un acervo audiovisual concentrado en la experimentación con materiales preexistentes que busca fortalecer las vías de acceso y apropiación del archivo para su uso en nuevas obras.

Co-creation workshop: The archives of fear

This laboratory invites participants to engage in an open, collaborative and chance-driven cinematic creation process, in which fear is transformed into a creative exploration of the unknown.
Participants will collaborate to create an audiovisual entity born from the transformation of materials reflecting the terrors of the contemporary world. This entity will then be used to explore encounters with the profane, the ritual, and the otherworldly.
Tiagx Vélez is a filmmaker, professor and travesti artist. Holds a Master's degree in Documentary Cinema. Their artistic practice focuses on the intersection of experimental cinema, performance and archival work. They are the co-founder of the production company Crisálida Cine.
Their directorial works include the feature film El origen de las especies and the short films Presagio (Ficunam, FICCI), Nosotr_s seremos (Dunkel Rosa Award, 2021) and El tercer mundo después del sol (IFFR, Grand Jury Prize at Curta Cinema, Guanajuato). As an editor, they have worked on Entre las sombras arden mundos by Ismael García (Zinebi, Clermont-Ferrand) and Vienen las grietas by Mateo Vallejo (IFFR, 2023). They have also produced several films, including 'Tú me hiciste ver el cielo' by Luis Esguerra (FID Marseille, FIC Valdivia 2023).
They teach on the Undergraduate Programme in Audiovisual Communication at the Universidad de Antioquia and are a member of the Archivo Shub collective, which is an audiovisual archive that experiments with pre-existing materials.
